Email Account Settings

When setting up your email account, you will need to double check the following settings. When you sign up for a EMW Australian Web Hosting Account, you will automatically recieve a Welcome email containing details that you will need to access your account. Most importantly will be an account username and password. The following will refer to this combination.

Email Settings

Manula Email Settings

  • Mail Server Username: user@yourdomain.com.au
  • Incoming Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com.au
  • Incoming Mail Server: (SSL) banjo.emw.net.au
  • Outgoing Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com.au (server requires authentication) port 26
  • Outgoing Mail Server: (SSL) mail.yourdomain.com.au (server requires authentication) port 465
  • Supported Incoming Mail Protocols: POP3, POP3S (SSL/TLS), IMAP, IMAPS (SSL/TLS)
  • Supported Outgoing Mail Protocols: SMTP, SMTPS (SSL/TLS)

Important Note on Outgoing (SMTP) Server

NOTE: A larger percentage of Internet Service Providers (ISP's) do not allow sending through outgoing mail servers other than their own. Therefore, it is recommended that you use your ISP's SMTP server to save the trouble of finding which ones have this policy. Check with your ISP's support to see what it the SMTP or outgoing server is.

Webmail

  • address: http://www.yourdomain.com.au/webmail
  • username: yourusername
  • password: yourpassword

The above details will give you root access to all email accounts. For individual accounts, use:

  • address: http://www.yourdomain.com.au/webmail
  • username: user@yourdomain.com.au
  • password: userpassword
