Frequently Asked Questions

Although the packages are designed to be super simple, there are a few important details that make the quick affordable design process possible. Here are some of the most common questions.

The Process

How do I find out what I have to do?

As soon as you fill in the contact form, you will be taken to a page showing a list of things you will need to think about. Have a look over this information, and start to organise some of your material. This will be the key to getting everything up and running.

Don't worry too much if you miss the page, because we will email you a similar list as soon as you contact us. We will then contact you and discuss some of the things you need to do to finalise your website.

Design Questions

I don't like the colours of the designs. What can I do?

The basic structure of the design templates are set, but colours can be changed easily. As the examples below show, The one design can look very different once you customise the colours to your corporate colours. Remember that your logo will also be added, giving it a whole new look as well.

Click the examples below to see what one template can look like with a modification to colours and addition of logo.

I don't have a logo. What do I do?

We can design one for you. We will discuss this when we talk to you.

What are the five pages of content?

Usually most websites have five basic pages:

  • the Home page,
  • the About Us page,
  • the Services page
  • the FAQ's page, and
  • a Contact Us page

This is not set in stone, but users know what to expect when they see these pages. If you choose to use a Testimonials page instead of the FAQ's - that is a fine decision. If you want to advertise your Products instead of your Services, this is entirely possible. Anything you use is up to you, as long as you pick four pages (plus your contact page).

You also have the option to add on additional pages. See the optional extras for details.

I need to change some of the information on my site. How can I do this?

EMW will make small changes to your website, but we will charge for more significant work. Our discretion will be used to determine the size of the work. Maintenance will be charged at $60 per hour. If you will be requiring frequent changes to your sight, then a Content Management System would be worth the cost. See the optional extras for details.

Optional Extras

Why do I need to upgrade the blog?

Every now and then the software developers improve the software by releasing a new version. This new version will need to be loaded over the top of your old files. The initial blog option gives you six months free upgrades on the software, but you will be required to pay for upgrades after that. Your software will continue to work fine, but older software is usually a security risk.
